Winter Jam...

We had such a great time tonight...I got to meet my favorite singer(Francessa Battistelli) and get her autograph(that was so awesome).


Well all is quiet now and I am so tired, we had prayer and pancakes last night and didn't get to bed until 4 am then got up and did some running around then headed over to the concert so I am zapped. So I think it is time for bed, we have another full day ahead of us tomorrow with church then New Comers at Pastor's tomorrow night but... I do have Monday off and I am soooooo looking forward to it.

Things are looking better...

Well Tom had 2 other interviews today and it is looking like he will have a job, hopefully, by tomorrow.
Two place are very interested in him so we are waiting to here back from corporate on both. There is one that he really wants but at this point we will be happy with what ever God gives him.

Hopeful...

Tom had an interview this morning and things look good. The guy has to fax all of the paper work to the corporate office so hopefully we will hear something by this afternoon.

Just keeping holding us up in prayer and as soon as I hear anything I will let everyone know.

I know, I know

it has been a while since I have stopped in but to be honest I just have not wanted to.

Let me explain...Tom was laid off AGAIN on Friday, yes the second time in two months and I have just wanted to hide or cry or both. I have put on the "I'm doing OK" face and done what I have needed to but then I come home and hide in my room under the covers.

No, things are not really better but I am trying to change my out look, still no job but he has a couple of interviews set up for later in the week so we will see.

Just wanted to stop in and ask for your prayers. I need all the prayers I can get not only for the job situation but for my state of mind as well.

2009...finally

Well I am back home and boy did I need that mini-vacation!!!
My sister and I drove up to Tennessee and just hung out for a couple of days, nothing to think about, no plans really and boy was it nice.

But now I am home and it is back to reality...
(just a side note: I want to thank everyone for your prayers, the situation is getting better day by day and I know that the break through is just around the corner)

I have alot I want to accomplish this year and I am off to a good start...Tom and I starting working out tonight and it felt great. We both have a goal we want to reach by the summer time and we are going to work hard to get there. Something I realized tonight was that we have never worked out together, in our 19 years of being together, and it is going to be alot of fun and I think some great time spent together, he really is a good motivator, he really helped me when I didn't think I could go anymore, I am really looking forward to this time with him, he is going to plan our work out routine and we are going to stick to it.

While on vacation I went to church with Tom's mom and it was really good. He said alot of things that made sense to me, there where times when it felt like he was talking to me. The four main points were:
*you have to know the way (God is speaking to you, you just have to listen)
*you need to know God is with you (He will never leave you,no matter what)
*you need to know that God will give you the victory (you have to trust Him, in all things)
*you need to know that God is mighty (nothing is impossible)

This is another one of my goals for 2009, to live all of these points everyday. I am also starting the bible reading with Pastor Deanna, I have always wanted to read the bible all the way through I just never knew where or how to start but with this plan it should be easy for me to follow.

I know alot of people have said that 2008 was a really hard year and it was but now I am focusing on 2009, and I think that this year is going to be a great one not just a good one.

I don't think I have ever been so excited to start a new year, I really feel like this is going to a year of break through on so many levels for so many people and I am just so glad that I am going to have a front row seat to see it all unfold!!!!!!!!
