Fine Arts...

today was soooo much fun.

We headed up to Orlando last night for the Fine Arts competition and we had such a blast. We stopped at a Burger King in Haines City and took over the place. At one time the kids had started a food fight but that was reigned in before it got out of hand. We really have a great bunch of kids, they are very well behaved just typical teenagers.

This morning we got up and headed over to the church for the first day of competition and they all did sooooo good. We are pretty sure that the large human video will go to Nationals. Ashley's solo was awesome and we are almost positive she will go to National as well. The small human video was good too just not sure if it will make it or not. We will find out tomorrow all of the results so I post and let you know.

This really is a great group of kids and I am so proud of all of them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

then something comes along and knocks me off the ladder!!!!

Easter was great yesterday, went out to lunch with the Stewarts and had a great time. Came home got to take a nap then we headed over to mom and dads for dinner and that was great too...

but the moment we walked in the door it felt like all hell broke loose!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't really want to get into the details just asking for ALOT of prayer, we really need it.

P.S. for those wondering Tom's job is great, this time that is not the problem, Thank God!!

I'm OK...

Last week was a really tough one, one that I do not care to go through again but in the middle of all the craziness (once I pulled myself up, that took about a day) I was OK. I knew that God would work everything out and He did, He even worked it out for cheaper then we were expecting.

I don't know why I walk around in such fear when something unexpected happens. Do I really think that God didn't see it coming? Do I really think that He didn't already have it all worked out? Do I really think that He is not big enough to handle my problems?

As I have said a couple of times here on my blog my word for the year is TRUST, I never realized how much work I needed with that word but boy do I.

*Lord help me to trust you in EVERY situation, even the really tough ones because I know you are there holding my hand, walking with me!!*

Just the way I have been feeling lately...

How...

do you get respect out of a teenager? No really I want to know... every time I turn around my child is being sooooooo disrespectful and it is driving me crazy.

She is doing well in school but now her mouth is going none stop and she can be so ugly. I guess we can't have good grades and respect...that would be just way too much to ask!!!

Pastor Deanna's prayer was to be able to get Jordan to 18 safe and sound...I just want to get her to 18 in one piece... her dad is going to rip her in two if she doesn't get her mouth in check!!!!

Ugh teenagers... I heard a comedian say that he thinks when satan was kick out of heaven he was a 15 year old rebellious teenager. You know what, think about it and it makes sense... he wouldn't listen, he thought he knew everything and he even thought he knew MORE then the Father ;) (just a little humor because if I can't laugh I will go insane!!)

But really if you have any ideas about the respect thing please let me know... I am at the end of my rope and if things don't change I may hang her with it!!!!

Great Sunday...

church was great, choir lunch was great, choir practice was great, and the best of all when I got home I took a nap (a 2 and 1/2 hour nap)!!!!!!!!

So in one word my Sunday was...

GREAT!!!!!!
