Well, she did it...

Ashlee made Chiefettes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is something that she has been practicing for all week long. Like I said last week this week was going to be a crazy one and it was.....but it was all worth it. Ashlee had tryout practice all week plus a mandatory practice for Orchestra then her final concert on Thursday. She has worked soooo hard this week and it paid off. I am so proud of her, she is entering a new phase of her life and it is going to be so exciting to watch. It is really weird watching your kids walk a path that you have but it is kind of cool (and it makes me feel a little old too).

We are going to have a fun filled year next year, Kirsti in band and Ashlee being a Chiefette, and Britney wants to join the soccer team in middle school...so it is going to be another packed year but hey they are only young once and I want them to get the most out of every year.

Yep, I am a proud momma!!!!!!

Rain...

It has been raining the last week here and I love it. Alot of people may not like the rain but I love it!!!!! And yes, we have needed it sooooo bad so thank God we are getting it.

With that said, it drives me crazy how people will say, "we need the rain", then once it starts the same people start saying,"I wish it would stop raining"....come on people make up your mind...

This week God has used the rain to show me a few things...

How many times do we say, "God rain down in my life, use me, stretch me, mold me to who you want me to be", then the moment the "rain" comes or the "growing pains" start we say, "God make it stop, it is too much, I can't handle this". We need to make up our minds...do we want God to use us and mold us or are we happy were we are at?

If your prayer is, "God send the rain", then you better be ready to get wet!!! We are in the last days and in the last days He will pour even more of His spirit out in this land....so get ready!!

I am ready to get wet...are you!!!!!!

Commit everything you do to the Lord.
Trust him, and he will help you.

(Thanks Sheri, I needed that today!!!)

I am so glad that today is Friday...this has been a long week for me.

I can not seem to get rid of this cold/flu bug that I picked up a couple of weeks ago. I am so tired and run down and I just can't get enough sleep but I am hoping that I will be able to sleep some tomorrow.

Not too much going on just end of the school year stuff. Next week we have 2 final concerts(on the same night). Ashlee is trying out for the Cheifettes at Chamberlain for next year so she has practice every night. So needless to say I am going to be running like crazy next week (another reason I need to shake this bug).

The girls are good...they are looking forward to the summer and to be honest so am I. Things slow down a little bit and boy I need that. This has been a non stop school year this year, it has flown by sooooo fast.

Well Tom and I are enjoying a quiet house right now(Ashlee is at her 8th grade dance and Kirsti and Britney went to a baseball game) so we are using this time to catch up on some of out shows(thank God for DVRs).

Hope everyone has a great weekend...that is my plan!!!

This is sooo true....

Pastor Deanna just put this picture up on our Worship Blog and it so funny and true!!! We have so much fun in choir, it is so nice not to have to worry if "sister so and so" is going to get her feeling hurt over something. We all truly love each other and yes we love to pick on each other but it is all in good fun. I couldn't ask for a better group of people to worship God with and as PD often says,do life with!!
Love you guys, you are the best

Mother's Day wrap up...

this has been the absolutely best Mother's Day ever!!!

First of all Tom took me out on Friday night to Macaroni Grill then we went to Starbucks then after that he took me to see the new Star Trek movie and it was sooo good, not just the movie but the dinner also.

Saturday I got to sleep in till about noon, yes noon, Tom had to work and the girls were gone all day, so it was just me and Max(our dog) so we slept in and that was so nice. I got up and just chilled and watched some shows that I had recorded and stay in my PJ all day. Once Tom got home from work (which was 2 hours later than normal, he had to work overtime) I got dressed and we headed to the store to pick up last minute things for dinner tonight.

This morning I woke up to my lovely girls giving me my gift, I got a new black purse, and necklace, a rose, and a pair of fuzzy socks for around the house, Tom also got me a dozen of pink roses. We went to lunch with a bunch of people from church and had a blast, oh by the way the service was awesome today, Pastor Deanna is such a good preacher, I consider it an absolute honor to sit under her teaching. After lunch we headed home and I laid down for about a hour and a half nap then got up and went to Sheri & Joel's for dinner, everyone was there and it was alot of fun. My family is such a hoot!!!
Well that was my Mother's Day weekend and it was great, I hope everyone else had a great day also and if you haven't told your Mom that you love her, tell her and don't wait for next year or a special occasion to do it!!

Now it is bed time, I am so tired and tomorrow it all starts again!!

*Thank you God for my family and friends, I am so blessed, I could not ask for more*

Friends...

why do we find it so hard to make and keep close friends?

Just food for thought...

Is it because we are afraid to let people in or that we are afraid they will see all of our ugliness? Whatever the reason I thank God that He sends us what or should I say who we need right when we need it.

*Thanks God for sending me what I need when I need it*

Sometimes we get so wrapped up in what we DON'T have that we forget to stop and thank God for what we DO have. So today I thought I would share 5 things that I am thankful for.

1. My relationship with the Lord; without that I do not know where I would be.

2. My loving husband;he has been there right beside me through everything and I love him more today then the day we were married, I could not ask for a better person to spend the rest of my life with.

3.My girls; yes they drive me absolutely crazy sometimes but I would not change it for the world, they have taught me how to love unconditionally and for that I am ever grateful.

4. My church family; wow what can I say about them expect thank you for always being there and never judging me but loving me through my crazy life... you guys are the best.

5. My life; I have not gone through some of the things that others have but my life has not been a cake walk either. But I am very thankful for everything that I have gone through in my life because it has brought me to the place I am today. I love where I am at and I am loving the ride...as Pastor Deanna always says, the best is yet to come!!!!!!

Today...

was a quiet day at work. The Pastors are at District Council until Wednesday, Pastor T was in the office but it was still quiet.

Today was a good day...just typical Monday stuff to do. Had dinner and a movie with the family, the girls have been wanting us to watch Disturbia, they recorded it off of HBO this weekend so we watched it tonight. It was good but the best part was we watched it as a family, we have not had much family time lately so that was nice.

Well I said I would post more pictures from Fine Arts so here they are...enjoy

UHG...

this past week I have felt sooooo bad. I think between Fine Arts and working I worn myself down and in all of that I picked up a flu bug...yea for me!!!

I have not felt as bad as I have this past week in a very long time. So needless to say I have not felt like doing anything. I still need to post more pictures from Fine Arts and I will do that this week.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am still here just have been under the weather this past week. I will be back to posting every day or so this week, I know how much you have all missed me.
