First Offical Date...

Well Kirsti is getting ready for her first date. She has gone out before in a group but tonight she is going to the movies, just her and her boyfriend. I am a little nervous but I guess we have to let her grow up sometime.
So pray for me...this is a new season for me!!!!

Why Oh Why...

do some people have to play their music soooooo loud!!!!!

I love my apartment but the one thing I hate is rude neighbors who seem to forget the fact that they live in an apartment and that they have neighbors that do not share their love of loud music at 11:00 at night!!!!

I WANT TO GO TO SLEEP BUT I GUESS MY NEIGHBOR THINKS IT IS PARTY TIME!!!!

Ugh...

Full of Surprises...

I love my husband sooo much!!!

He surprised me tonight with something that I have been wanting so bad for so long. He got me a new laptop, I am so happy, mine died a while back and I have been wanting one so he ordered me one and it was delivered today, and guess what...it is pink. Could it be more perfect!!!!!!

Well it is late and it is time to go to bed and spend some time with my wonderful husband!!!

My Prayer...

I don't wanna go through the motions
I don't wanna go one more day
without Your all consuming passion inside of me
I don't wanna spend my whole life asking,

"What if I had given everything,
instead of going through the motions?"

My Weekend in Review...

I know it has been a while since I have posted anything but I guess life got in the way!!!

Last Friday we went to the fair and we had such a good time. We checked the kids out of school and just had a family day, we haven't had one in a long time.

The fair holds a special meaning to me and Tom, it was our first date in high school. So we try to go every year.

Saturday was a quiet day, even though it was Valentines Day Tom had to work. I had to do some errands for work since I had Friday off
, I also had to take Kirsti up to her school because they marched in the Gasprilla parade. After everyone made it home Tom took me and Ashlee and Britney out to dinner for Valentines, it was a lot of fun. I think that was the first time we have all gone out for dinner on Valentines, it is usually just me and Tom but it was nice taking the girls this year.

Sunday we had church then Kirsti had hum
an video practice so we went out to lunch we some of my favorite people(the Shrodes and Pastor's parent, Sue Flint and John Torres and his kids),we had a lot of fun. After lunch we headed back to church for our movie night. We watched Fireproof, we had seen it at the theater but I love that movie so much, I could watch it over and over.

Monday was an interesting day..I had a total of 9 girls in my house. Kirsti is writing a human video this year for Fine Arts and they needed to practice, being the nice mom that I am I suggested that they all just come home with us on Sunday night and stay the night so they can have all of Monday to practice so they did. They really got a lot done and I think it is going to be really good. I never knew how much food 9 girls could eat, we went through a total of 7 or 8 pizzas and a big box of Cheerios then for lunch I went to Taco Bell and got 26 tacos(I called ahead, I did not want to give them a heart attack and just walk in and order that much), they ate them all.

Well that was my weekend in a nut shell, hope yours was as much fun as mine!!!!!!

Teenagers aren't all that bad...

I know I am always saying how hard it is to deal with teenagers or how hard it is to raise them and it is but I felt like I had to give a shout out to one very special teenager in my life.

My middle daughter, Ahslee is one of the sweetest teenagers you will ever meet. At first she is very shy until she gets to know you then look out she is a nut ( I wonder where she gets that from).

She is so compliant and so tender hearted it amazes me, she always seems to see the good in a situation.

When she was born she was a little earlier then expected so she had a few problems, her ear drums were not fully developed so she could only hear certain pitches and she had a hole in her abdominal and had to have surgery when she was a little over a year old. She wasn't a real affectionate baby, she did not like to be held she would cry until you put her down and as she got older she was, well mean, she would rather hit you then give you a hug.

But the older she has gotten the more affectionate she has gotten, she love to just sit with me and cuddle and watch T.V., she will lay in bed with me and just talk or she wants to just hold my hand or sit on my lap. She is now 14 and bigger then I am so the whole sitting on my lap thing is a little harder on me now but we do it.

She is in the 8th grade and is in a special program at school that is already preparing her for college. Her math class is a 9th grade level and all of her other subjects are on a 10th grade level, she is so smart it amazes me. She already knows what she wants to do with her life and is taking the stepps now to make sure it happens. She has her college picked out and as a matter fact she got to go on a little tour of it when she was in Tennessee this past Christmas time.

Like I said I am always focusing on the hard times but I just wanted to give you a glempise of what it is like to live with a great teenager as well!!

I love you my little boo( that is her nickname that she has had from the time she was born, and she tells her sisters that I am the only one aloud to call her that)
